Andi Stix is an interpretive artist who creates large, wooden, 3D pieces of art. Using a technique called intarsia, various shapes, sizes, and species of wood are fitted together to create a mosaic-like picture. Some wooden pieces are raised or lowered to create an illusion of depth. Andi’s work has broken ground in the intarsia world with her integration of Japanese papers, glass, tiles, spray paint and more. She has ventured into kinetic art, which relies on the movement of the viewer to see different images from different angles.
